Wassail Days

From Saturday, November 30, 2019 – Sunday, December 8, 2019, 65+ local businesses will serve their own special recipe of wassail. Guests have the opportunity to vote for their favorite wassail and fill up their “12 Sips of Wassail” card. Completed cards may be redeemed at the Frisco/Copper Information Center for a free 2019 commemorative and limited edition Wassail Days mug, while supplies last.
Carolers will sing at the tree lighting and then make their way up and down Main Street filling the town with good cheer and holiday music.
The Frisco Holiday Lighting will be at the Frisco Historic Park Gazebo starting at 5:30pm with the tree lighting at 6:00pm. A special guest will help at the lighting again this year, and there will be handcrafted fire pits created by Fire on Demand; a proximate (low to the ground) fireworks display; and hot cider, hot mulled wine, cookies and s’mores kits will be for sale benefiting the Family and Intercultural Resources Center’s Summit County Cares program.
Santa Visits– Santa will visit with boys and girls at the Frisco Historic Park & Museum to find out what their fondest wishes are for the holiday season. Santa loves it when parents bring their cameras and take pictures of Santa with the kids.
Carolers will make their way up and down Main Street filling the town with good cheer and holiday music.
Free tubing sessions at the Frisco Adventure Park. Come try out the new tubing lanes for the 2019/2020 season! The Frisco Adventure Park will be offering free 30 minute tubing sessions beginning at 4:00pm with the last free session starting at 5:30pm. Reservations are required and can be made beginning on October 1, 2019. You must arrive 20 minutes prior to your reserved tubing time. If you do not arrive 20 minutes early, your tubing reservation may be forfeited and that space will then be made available to someone else. Nordic ski and snowshoe on the Frisco Nordic Center trails for free. Rentals are also free while supplies last. This is an exceptional opportunity to check out cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at the beautiful Frisco Nordic Center. Please call 970-668-2570 with any questions.
Santa’s Calling – From November 22-December 4, 2018 at noon – Frisco Town Hall, Frisco Adventure Park, Frisco Historic Park, Summit County Public Library in Frisco, Summit County Preschool, Frisco/Copper Information Center, The Sunny Side Up Studio and Stork & Bear Company will be accepting call requests the adult guardians/parents of boys and girls who want to talk to Santa about their holiday wishes. Call requests may also be made online. On Tuesday, December 4, 2018 Santa will be calling all the boys and girls on his call list.
Free sleigh rides at the Frisco Nordic Center offered by Two Below Zero. Relax on a free 30 minute horse drawn scenic sleigh ride. Availability is limited. Please call 970-453-1520 to make reservations.
Wassail Night at the Museum – Guests are invited to experience a cozy winter evening at the Frisco Historic Park & Museum with an after-hours celebration. Enjoy hot cider and other holiday treats along with catered refreshments and live entertainment. The Museum will be decked out for the holidays.
Breakfast with Santa – This breakfast with the holiday’s favorite big guy benefits the Summit County Preschool. The breakfast will be held from 9:00am-11:00am.

The Soup Cup Classic will be held at the Frisco Adventure Park Day Lodge and tubing hill. Local restaurants and amateur cooks will duke it out for the titles of best professional soup and best amateur soup respectively. The guests will be the judges as they sample soup and vote for their favorite professional and amateur soups. Cost- $30 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under which includes all-you-can-eat soup, 2 beverages (New Belgium beer for 21+) and 2 hours of unlimited tubing during the event.
Wassail tasting – This is the last day for wassail tasting at participating Frisco businesses.
