4 Things You Can Do This Summer at Copper Mountain
Hike Down the Mountain
Summer is a perfect occasion to get out and explore the gorgeous Colorado outdoors. Ride the scenic chair lift to the top of Copper Mountain for some incredible views, then hop out and hike back down the mountain. The trail takes about an hour and a half to hike, and you will witness beautiful forests, smell blooming flowers, and meet other outdoor enthusiasts along the way!
Visit West Lake
To refresh yourself after your mountain hike, head to Central Village where you’ll find the West Lake. It’s the perfect place to bring the kids for a relaxing afternoon by the water. Rent a hydro bike or bumper boat, or zipline across the water! The lake is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every Saturday until September 16th.
Note that the zipline opens mid-June.
Climb the Copper Climbing Wall
You don’t need to be a die-hard climber to enjoy the thrill of heights! Colorado is known for its climbing spots. But, if you want to stay on Copper Mountain, you can have your fun at the local climbing wall! It’s the largest outdoor climbing wall in Colorado and offers various routes for you to test your skills. The wall opens mid-June and provides harnesses, ropes, and trained staff members to help you.
Golf at Copper Creek
Is golf one of your favorite hobbies? Rejoice! Copper Mountain has an excellent golf course where you can practice your swing.
